The Avenue of Abiding.
Grace is the bedrock that supports the abiding avenue upon which we are to travel in our spiritual journey of abiding in Christ and Christ abiding in us believers. If you shun the Grace Message or adhere to the "grac e plus" or the "grace but" gospel you CANNOT ABIDE in the VINE (Jesus). When serving God through religion, one of the least understood spiritual concepts for me was the concept of abiding in Christ and Him abiding in me. Yet it is the very substance of living as a loved child of God. Since my religious detoxing I am beginning to understand the concept better. Why was it so hard for me to understand? One reason for my ignorance regarding "abiding" was due to the religious confusion that I was in and dominates the religious system. Living by the Flesh or living by the Spirit.
Is it possible that the majority of believers who believe they are walking and living by the Spirit, are living and walking in the flesh? People who are trying to be obedient to religious laws and rules and are having some measure of success at it assume they are walking by the Spirit because their obedience is affirmed by the religious hierarchy as b eing so. God righteousness can never be achieved or owned by us, by our doing. True righteousness is wholly and solely a work of God that He imputes to us, it is His gift and He does not remove it from us when we make mistakes. To try to gain or maintain the righteousness of God by being obedient to what we deem to be Bible demands,` results in self-righteousness because we are called by the people we associate with a "good Christian" and a member in good standing. Stop Striving.
Stop striving to do what you think is your work for God or doing what you think is God's work, and develop a relationship with Him so He can do His work through you.
Where Is Your Identity Found? Religion is a way for you to learn about God...though some of what you learn isn't true or it isn't the whole truth about God. Grace is the way God restores His life in you providing a grace living relationsh ip with Him. God lives in you and you in him, this enables God to work His works through you, as you work with Him. Religion is man's doing. Grace is God's doing. Philippians 3:3-11, is the recorded account of Paul's new life...the Christ life. Paul speaks of the false circumcision (religion)...people who sought to please and work "for" God in their own strength and with their own life and who measure their spiritually by their performance. The magnitude of God's Grace will un-confuse a religiously confused mind and lift a person out of platitude religious living, giving the person a fortitude mind that is empowered for grace living...that will give you a valued attitude of gratitude that will help you live the beatitudes with much gratitude.
The Blindness of Denominational Deception.
The denominational system way of doing church totally supports the one-man spiritual-performer from God to the pew-warmer. This man-trained, denominational-ordained, hierarchy-sustained, spiritually-maimed religious elitist, in his gifting brings the message from God by bringing bible truths, spiritual answers and soothing consolation to the less spirit ual informed pew-warmers. This system subjects the ignorant "laity" to live in isolation from fellow brothers and sisters (of a different denomination) and instills in pew-warmers that denominational segregation is godly.
