The Bible, the written word that points to the Living Word.

The Bible, the written word that points to the Living Word.

Is the Bible the WORD of God, is it inerrant, infallible, life giving, and God inspired? Or, is it the written word compiled by men who recorded the hand-me-down-by-word-of-mouth stories and copies of copies of the original manuscripts that God inspired because there are no originals to be found?

According to what I hear articulated through verbalization from the religious mindset people, I conclude that John chapter one starts out like this...In the beginning was the Bible, and the Bible was with God, and the Bible was God. The Bible was in the beginning with God. All things  were made through the Bible and without the Bible nothing was made that was made. In the Bible was life, and the Bible was the light of men. Continuing with that thought verse 14 would read, And the Bible became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld the Bible's glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Is this sounding a bit ridiculous?

Well, many who believe the Bible IS the Word of God portray that kind of thinking , whether they admit it or not!
In my humble opinion, (which not many of you may put much stock in), I believe it is collaborated by scripture, that JESUS and Jesus only, is the living WORD of God and He came form heaven to show us the Father and the message that He, (Jesus) is The Word of God! The Bible does not itself authenticate that it is the WORD of God. That is a man-made invention that has been added by man for man to control man by putting the fear of God in man and dethrones Jesus as the WORD of God!

It is Jesus Himself and His teaching that is the Word that God desires us to hear, understand and live up to. Do you really believe that the early Church understood the WORD to be a book and not Jesus or His message? In the era that the New testament describes, the New Testament was not yet written, therefore, old slew foot could not deceive the people into believing that the New Covenant that Jesus provided was also a "covenant book" known as the Bible" and not of the Spirit. When some of the believers began to verbalize their thoughts in this manner, Paul corrected them in His epistles. (2Cor. 3:6)

It may be hard for believers today to face the reality that for the early Church, Biblical doctrine, systematic theology and demands to be Biblical correct did not exist and their concept of sound doctrine was far extracted from what we believe to be and propagate as sound doctrine.

The apostles taught their listeners to do what Jesus had taught them...(not the teachings of the denominated professional, teaching denominated doctrine) If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrines that accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such perversion withdraw yourself. (1 Tim. 6:3-5)

What Jesus said to them, to them was the Word of God. His message, the grace gospel of the Kingdom of God was the Word of God...not a book called the Bible.

Therefore, when the church, (in whatever locality it was), heard an epistle read, anything concerning "the Word of God" they immediately thought of Jesus and His Words...His teachings, NOT A BOOK!

He was not exhorting us to treat the Bible as the WORD of God, for He alone is the WORD of God!.

Don't trade or worship the word above the WORD!
