Is God really the Villain of the Old Testament or has He been wrongly accused? If He has been wrongly accused, who is Responsible for the False Accusation
Part 4
Everything God made was good thus, God is a good God and only good comes from Him. But that raises the question, what do we do about the but what about the “abouts”?
Many people quote the phrase "God is good all the time." That true statement means that God is only good and He is not the producer of anything bad. But that leaves us with a Biblical dilemma since certain scriptures do ascribe evil to God. The "Christian religion" has come up a perceived answer to this. It might be evil if we kill or destroy but if God does it’s not really evil because whatever God does is good and He knows the big picture, followed by with God’s ways are higher than ours. Another way of saying it is, the evil we think is evil done by God is not evil at all, if we could see the big picture as God sees it,
But the scriptures declare, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)
The problem is, if we apply traditional religious explanations to this dilemma we do end up exchanging light for darkness and calling evil good, this indicates we have lost any rational demarcation point for good and evil. The question that needs to be answered is, who first ascribed evil to God? And does the ascribing evil to God make God evil?
In the third chapter of Genesis the serpent shows up. He lies to Adam and Eve, they believe him and mankinds relationship with God is marred. Most of us have been taught that Adam and Eve fell to the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life, but there is more to it than that.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (Gen. 3:4-5)
It’s important to note that the word “God” and “gods” in verse five are the exact same Hebrew word; “elohiym”. Young’s translation translates it this way; for God doth know that in the day of your eating of it - your eyes have been opened, and ye have been as God, knowing good and evil.
The great deceiver was convincing Eve that by eating from the tree of life and death would cause them to become like God Himself and in being like God they will know good AND evil...just like God. The Hebrew word for “knowing” in the above verse is “yada” it means (to be acquainted with or know by experience).
If we expanded on the word “knowing” by what the Hebrew word means, the verse would read like this.
“For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, acquainted with good AND evil by experience.”
We need to consider how truth deceiving this moment was. The serpent just told Eve that God was acquainted with good AND EVIL by experience!
This was the first account of evil being ascribed to God and it came from who...the great DECEIVER, the FATHER of LIES, the devil himself! This was nothing less than a Satanic setup and this deception still is, the greatest deception in all of history. To this day the vast majority of the religious world who are known as Christians live in the deception that God is both good and evil! This DECEPTION of the great DECEIVER has DECEIVED so much of christendom that the majority of “Christians” fail to see the DECEPTION they have been DECEIVED by! They are so DECEIVED by the DECEPTION, they cannot see the truth even though it is staring them in the face.
Who was this lie directed to? We have been content to conclude that the serpents lie was directed at Adam and Eve, but in actual fact it was directed at the entire human race. Satan wanted mankind to believe that God was the producer of both good and evil, and he was successful in his deception for most of christendom has swallowed the lie. Think about how the effects of it have been carried over. It is not uncommon even today to hear things like, “God is good, but.” or “God is Love, but.” We are actually parroting the serpents lie. This is exactly what Satan was saying, “God is good but, He is also acquainted with evil by experience”.
As this truth been overlooked by religion in the story of the fall of mankind? By directing our thoughts towards a tree has the serpent succeeded in taking our focus off the lie thus, we live the lie without realizing it?
Are we believing the greatest lie mankind has ever been told, Are we guilty of portraying by saying, “I do believe God is good, but what about this scripture or what about that verse?”
The disastrous results of falling for the serpents deception has given God a bad image that paints Him as the villain of the pre-cross era.
