The Best Defense against Deception.

Satan's Objective....Deception
Satan's Target....Our Mind
Satan's Weapons.... Innuendos, Lies and Half-Truths
Satan's Purpose.... Keep us in Ignorance

If Satan can keep us in ignorance regarding God's eternal plan, His gospel of grace and His love, we will remain steeped in deception and be ignorant as to the totality of Christ's sacrifice as to what really happened on the cross.

Our best defense against the deception of Satan is not the written word, but JESUS the LIVING WORD!

Why is the Bible the word, not our best defense against deception? Because it is subject to subjective interpretation...meaning its interpretation can be:

1. Based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions that are formulated from the environment we were subject to in our spiritual formative upbringing.

2. Dependent on the mind or on an individual's perception of the Bible as to how much deception has been wrongly understood and accepted as truth.

Whereas Jesus the Word, is God, and there is no better defense against Satan's deception than God who is not subject to how subjective we may be.

DO NOT FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLING OF YOURSELVES TOGETHER! by David Yeubanks

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together" (Hebrews 10:25), is a common verse cited by Christians who believe that if you're not attending weekly meetings or plugged in a church denomination that you are somehow out of sync with Scripture and, for all practical purposes, "backsliding". Some refer to the out of church crowd as rebels, or the walking wounded and this verse is often given as the prescription. But is "attending church" really what the author of Hebrews had in mind here? YES THE BIBLE SAY’S NOT TO FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLING TOGETHER? NOTICE IT DOES NOT SAY DO NOT FORSAKE THE "ASSEMBLY" OR CHURCH BUILDING. First of all, it is essential that we understand the meaning of the word "church" as it is used in the Bible. These comments, while being historically and biblically sound, are not meant to suggest that Christians should not meet together, share fellowship, pray or preach the Word of God. If that is the conclusion ...

Listening.

Image
The greatest quality about being a good communicator and speaker is to be a good listener, especially when listening to learn rather than listening to respond. I mean we were given two ears and only one tongue for a reason, maybe we should shut up and listen twice as much as we run off at the mouth.

Hell...does religion have the facts?

Image
Dare I ask? Hey, I am just asking!!!! Is it possible that the religious world could be wrong in their understanding of the doctrine of Hell? Is it possible that they hold to deception's lie as truth, through misinterpretation and misunderstanding of the Bible on the subject as taught by misinformed denominated seminarians? If the accepted doctrine of hell is correct what does that do to God's mercy enduring for ever as recorded in Psalm 136:1...what does it do to God's love that is never ending as stated in 1 Corinthians 13:8. How often have we heard or even posed the question ourselves to those we deem to be sinners, “Turn or burn", "have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour to escape hell?” Allow me to do a little role playing here and play the part of a non-believer as you...a Christian...witnesses to me, the hell bound sinner. I am aware that some reading this has already concluded I am not role playing because they deem ...
