What is Bad about Good Religion?
"Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is
for their salvation. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for
God, but not in accordance with knowledge. For not knowing about God's
righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject
themselves to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law
for righteousness to everyone who believes." (Romans 10:1-4)
The organized religion code is just a mind game in which the people in their chosen sect are pawns in the shame and blame game of their religious extremist views. It is a system of behaviors, moral and ethical, required by humans to be in good standing with God, a system of rules revealing the shoulds and shouldn'ts, the do's and don'ts to be adhered to to please God.
Religion has hijacked the greatest event in the history of the world, the death and resurrection" of Jesus, to further their diabolical devilish scheme by offering people a "good religion" in contrast to the "bad religion" of the extremists, not knowing that the "good religion" they offer is also "bad religion" in that it is in opposition to the plan of God for the community of humanity, by and through the community of His redeemed.
"Good religion" instills in people the fear of God, the fear of death and the fear of eternal torment in hell-fire in order to get people to join their cause, obey their religious rules and keep them under whatever banner they are under by promising them God's goodness if they are good and God's wrath if they are bad.
Why is "good religion" bad?
Because it is man's way to approaching to God that bypasses or negates God's way of approaching man. Religion is a mixture of God's way and man's way which is the devil's way conceal God's way from man while thinking they are involved in God's way. Millions of religious people are deluded by the great delusionist and are living the lie of that delusion as if it were truth. The major drive for becoming a believer in religion is to escape hell and gain heaven, this concept, though may be true, takes away from the true gospel of Christ. In their pursuit of religion and exploring what they perceive as truths and beliefs about God, as taught by their denomination sidetracks their focus and they fail to pursue God Himself. That is what makes "good religion" "bad religion"
Religion has changed the simplicity of God's desire to become a set of rules and traditions that is set in place to keep us from sinning. And if we follow these rules, we’re okay, but the act of the process of rule keeping has produced self-righteous believers, or what was called Pharisees. Over time, what people think of when they hear the word Christian has changed from “Christ Follower” and “Christ-like” to “Hypocrite”, Condemner and “Judgmentalism”…or, “Pharisees“. Matthew 15:8-9 puts it this way...These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.”
The deeper we get into a relationship with Jesus, the one who loved us so much that he died for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:6-8), the more His love and grace produces the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. A relationship with God which only comes from knowing Him, should be the focus of our life. We need to surrender ourselves to Him, and rely on His ability to maintain that relationship, not our own doing.
Man's relationship with God is God's doing, not man's doing by the devil's deception of "good religion" of mixing Law and Grace.
