Is the Gospel a Gospel of War?
Imagine that you are sitting in
your Sunday-go-event-driven meeting and and just before the sermon
singing;
The love of God is greater
far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Oh, love of God, how rich and
pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
And then hear these words from
the preacher;
"I want you to just let a
wave of intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred
wash over you. Yes, hate is good... Our goal is a Christian nation.
We have a Biblical duty, we are called by God, to conquer this
country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism." Randall Terry, Founder of
Operation Rescue Quoted in The News-Sentinel,
"In winning a nation to
the gospel, the sword as well as the pen must be used."
"Democracy is a heresy against God!" R.J. Rushdooney, Director
of the Rutherford Institute,
Are you hearing the good news of the gospel, do such words cause you to bask in Gods love and grace?
Why is it that religion, when confronted with a conflict between love, compassion and caring, and conformity to doctrine, will almost invariably choose the latter regardless of the effect it has on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the gospel of good news.Religions make this choice because they uniformly place a high priority on denominated doctrinal conformity, with such force that it takes higher priority than love, compassion and mercy and they are willing to go to war to rid it of the infidels who believe God is compassionate and loving and not a “War God”
Religionists believe in the correctness of their man-made doctrine to the degree many make the claim that they are right to the exclusion of all man-made doctrines and that they alone are doctrinally correct.. man-made doctrines are WRONG PERIOD.
The religionist is not only concerned with his own conformity to doctrine, but the conformity of the rest of the world to it, also. The belief that they are right, without any question, justifies, in their own minds, taking upon themselves the right to impose their point of view, by force if necessary as portrayed in the above quotes. An example is the attempt, by some religionists to shut down, by force, abortion clinics that are operating in accordance with the law. Some have gone so far as to threaten and intimidate employees, and even murder doctors working there. They believe that committing murder to prevent murder is godly. Now for those of you who will extrapolate from that statement that I am for abortion...THINK AGAIN!
It is my conclusion, after listening to denominated preachers for many years, that their motto should be; "Don't think for yourself. The thinking has already been done." If you surrender your right to think for yourself and just do as the leader asks, the religionists assures that you are on God's side and heaven bound instead of hell bound. What could be more convincing?
Of course, the fallacy is that the possibility always exists that the religionists leader seeking your submission could be wrong. You may not be on God's side, you may be fighting against God! And in your waring you've engaged in an act of self deception of the worst kind...RELIGIOUS DECEPTION.
Why not load your your heart with God's love and compassion so you will shoot from your mouth His love and compassion to conquer the world for Him.
