Christ Has Set "WE" Free From Religious Phobias...So Why Aren't "WE" FREE?
It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Behold I, Paul, say to you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you. And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law. You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. Galatians 5:1-4
As followers of Christ, we have been set free. From what are we to be free? I personally think it is anything we use to try and earn our right standing with God, including RELIGION!
It is by grace we are accepted, and when we try to do anything…keep the law or do good works, we are putting trust in our Doings and not the Dones of Christ.
It we do not trust in the grace of God, the only thing we have left is to keep the do's and don'ts of the Law, and we have to keep the whole Law. Obviously, we cannot do that, because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
So why is this verse saying we have fallen from grace? What have we done to fall from grace? It is by trying to keep the Law, trying to live by the Old Covenant, keeping religious rules and rituals, in doing so we reject the grace that God provided through Jesus.
In the religious system the mixing of the Old and New Covenant is taught as the Gospel. We are told we are saved by grace, but we mature in our relationship and live pleasing to God by keeping the religious rules and living up to the Law. This just should not be. The above verse tells us that this is the way we fall from grace.
We are free from the Law, we are free from the wrath of God against sin...Christ dealt with the sin issue once-and-for-all. Now sin will still have its consequences...but God punishing us is not one of them.
Jesus has already done all the work that needs to be done. We can now rest in the grace He provided. Good works will be evident because of His working in us and through us, not due to an obligation to measure up and earn His love and forgiveness.
Christ has set us free from religious phobias such as;
God is out to get me phobia,
Cursed by God phobia.
The Devil is after me phobia,
Grace gone-wild phobia,
Love run-a-muck phobia,
Missing Sunday-go-meeting phobia.
Denominational phobia.
The torture chamber of Hell phobia,
Eternal damnation phobia,
Gloom, Doom and Despair phobia,
Death and dying phobia,
Rapture ready phobia,
Hierarchy phobia,
Denominational phobia,
Truth phobia,
Keeping the Law phobia,
Sin and sinning phobia,
Truth phobia,
Tribulation phobia,
Final judgement phobia.
Israel as God's end time clock phobia
Homo phobia,
Trudeau phobia
Obama phobia,
ISIS phobia,
Iran phobia,
Russia phobia,
Blood Moon phobia,
The cure for religious phobia is to renew your mind to conform to the truth about God rather than continue believing the lies religion has taught you about God. That will take a lot of religious deprogramming of the mind from the deceptions of religion's God...and reprogramming your mind with the Jesus truth about God.
As your belief about God is changed from the religious lies to the truth of Christ (the express image of God) who came to reveal the truth of His loving Father, you phobias will disappear.
The fear-mongering teachings of religion is the root cause of religious phobias and it is only God's truth about Himself through the lens of Jesus that will rid people of religious phobias.
Isn't it time you refuted the religious God for the TRUE GOD our loving Father is?
