Does ALL Mean ALL?
Romans 5:12-21. “Therefore just as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men because all sinned. For before the Law was given, sin was in the world, but sin is not taken into account where there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by the breaking of a commandment. As did Adam who was a pattern of the one to come. But the gift is not like the trespass, for if the many (there is no dispute among all denominations in the Christian Religion that “the many” refers to a ALL people born into the Community of Humanity) died by the trespass of one man how much more does God’s grace, and the gift
that came by grace of the one man Jesus Christ overflow to the many (the many here again means ALL people) for judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation (the first Adam), but the gift followed many trespasses and
brought justification (the second Adam). (Religious minds do not understand this) For if by the trespass of the one man, death reigned (on all men) through that one man, how MUCH MORE will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Consequently just as the result of the one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of the act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.” (Brackets mine)
Is it not logical that what ALL means for the first Adam, it would mean the same for the second Adam...ALL means EVERYBODY and means the same thing for both ADAMS! I wonder...is that the Good News of the Gospel of Grace?
How can the religious system give different meanings to the word ALL in Adams case and Jesus' case? How can it be said “in Adam ALL men die, but in Christ they are "NOT" ALL going to be made alive”? Religion believes it this way...because of Adam, condemnation was for ALL men (every person that was ever born), BUT, the result of the one act of righteousness by JESUS was no for ALL men, instead justification was only for all who receive Jesus and begin to walk in obedience to His commands. BUT, it doesn’t say that.
Does that mean...as most religionists believe...we have the liberty go out and choose to sin whenever we want and there will be no consequences? One commenter to one of my postings on Grace said..."I wish that the Grace Gospel was right because then I could go out and commit adultery and with no consequence to face"...If your attitude is like his, then my answer to you and him is this: you do not know God, and you desperately need to be saved from such selfish thinking for it is only after you accept being saved by Christ that you can save yourself from self.
You do not become a righteous person because you shun the wrong to do the right, because your trying to do the right thing only magnifies the wrong thing and makes it harder for you to shun that wrong. But, if you are full of the Spirit of Truth you will be motivated and moved by Him and He will do His works through you because no work of your flesh will make you righteous. You see...trying to do the right thing doesn't work...you cannot keep doing the right thing because you have to reckon the right thing dead.
By choosing the good over the evil to make you the righteousness of Christ will not work, because that puts you into the works of the flesh. Trying with your Adamic nature to choose the good over the evil puts you in that category of being alienated in your mind from the Christ life that is in your spirit. That simply is not God's way.
"As the result of the one trespass was condemnation for ALL men, so the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life to all men.” One man's trespass resulted in ALL people's condemnation (one man's sin, (Adam's). So one man's righteousness resulted in ALL people being justified before God, (one man's act of righteousness (Jesus').
God had a plan from the very beginning for every human being that was ever born, and that is, we have been chosen in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. That is God’s plan, and purpose for the Community of the Redeemed, and the devil.s will, nor man's will cannot stop God’s purpose for humanity. If it could the devil's will and man's will would be greater than God's will and that is not possible.
You see, the teaching of religion has gotten confused between the man's “will” and man's “choice.” Man's will is bound up in Adam, that makes us NOT a complete free moral agent. We are bound up to that will of the flesh. But you can choose to do what is good, but remember, good and evil comes from the same source the 'Tree if Good and Evil". This sounds like the man in Romans 7, who chooses to do that which is right, but he finds in his members another law, warring and bringing him into the bondage of the flesh, (His will is not his own). We will go through that struggle. That is what happens when you choose to live by the knowledge of good and evil, though you WILL to do good, you can't because you are not a true free moral agent!
Christ's finished work at Calvary took away the sin of the world, The sin issue was dealt with once and for all. So God has no problems with you, but if you sow to the flesh, you will of the flesh reap corruption. If you are in the flesh, and you have been reaping the flesh, the answer for you is not to try to change and to choose the good over the evil; the answer for you is move from the do and don't gospel to God's Grace and Love Gospel, learn how to feed upon spiritual food instead of religious food. Jesus said, “If you will learn to eat of me, you will live by Me.”
I find it sad and ironic in that the very group claiming to know Jesus and the Gospel is the very group that is an uproar and fighting the manifestation of the Gospel of God's Grace and Love along with His attributes of compassion, forgiveness and reconciliation.
They longingly want to hold unto their revengeful, punishing, wrathful and hell condemning God. I wonder...is that because they are so delusional deluded by religious tradition and the way it was they are unable to accept the way it is...the way of Jesus Christ...the way of Grace and Love.
