Part 18

In closing out this series, let's consider a different purpose what the for the flood story of Genesis?

Whether this event was literal or not, the lesson to learn from it is the same. Many people will say "God sent a flood to kill everybody" because of His judgement and He will send people to hell because of His judgment. Why did God judge the earth. Is it possible that the flood story was a redemption of people plan and not a destruction of people plan. God did not send all the people who were killed in the flood to hell. Could God have used the flood to restore righteousness to the earth.

There is no doubt that the world had become wicked.

Gen 6:11-13 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
 
Did God devised a plan for the human race to kill them in the flood to dam the in a eternal hell because of their wickedness?  Without a doubt people had become wicked, the whole of creation had become evil. Yet one man had remained righteous, Noah. So God commanded him to build a boat, for himself and his family, then God sent the flood to remove evil. He could have chosen to send Jesus at this time, He could have performed miracles like at the time of Moses, but He choose to use destruction. Was it to destroy people or was it to redeem people?

Gen 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

One question that arises in the minds of many people is why did God kill so many people and only save Noah. From man's standpoint this is terrible, thousands, possibly millions of people died, and only one man in the generation was considered good enough to live. We have to answer this question because it reveals the heart of God. The bible says of God:

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Ezekiel 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Ezekiel 18:31-32 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

The above verses are ample enough to support that God is LOVE, that He takes no pleasure in the death of wicked men and women, but prefers that they come to repentance, which simply means a change of direction and heart. So why did God not use love at the time of the flood, it is not loving to kill millions of people sending them all to hell, and saving only one. Be honest with yourself for a minute, how is that loving, kind, gentle. It does not match the fruits of the Spirit as revealed by God in the bible. Well...God did not send the flood people to hell as can be seen in the following scripture.

1 Peter 3:19-20 By which also he [Jesus] went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.... 1Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

So if you read that without changing the plain meaning of scripture it says "Jesus went and preached to the people who had died during the time of Noah, so that they could be judged according to the normal principals that apply to living people, so that they too could live in the presence of God. These people who died in the flood...Jesus went to them and shared the eternal gospel with them. AND HE WILL DO IT AGAIN! 1 Johnn 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

There was no Gospel of Grace, no Jesus, no bible, no religion, there was not even the Law of Moses for the flood people, without knowledge God people could not choose God's ways.

Remember God is love, the fruits of the Spirit are Love, Joy, Peace, Gentleness, Long suffering, etc, not judgment, anger, wrath and hell fire.

Is God going to send trillions of people to eternal hell fire who for some reason did not know Him, or is He about reconciling and redeeming ALL people. Well God's plan and will for humanity will not fail... it will come to pass. As we have seen death does not close the door to man's redemption nor shortens God's are that he cannot save. It is not the work Community of the Redeemed to save people by getting them to repeat the "sinner's prayer". God may use man to bring the Grace message to people, but His plan will not fail because of man's inability or failure to turn the world upside down for Christ.

Would a loving God whose love for us far exceeds the bounds of a human's love require those that He created to endure the pain of everlasting fire throughout all eternity? Would a God of love require a mother or father in heaven to witness their child writhing with pain in the fires of hell throughout all eternity? This would certainly not bring joy, peace and happiness to the parents in heaven, where there is to be no sorrow or pain. A God of love would certainly never require such a thing. This fable that people will suffer in an ever-burning hell is an example of the erroneous propaganda which floods this entire world.

Satan deceives the world into believing this lie to make mankind think that God has a personality like his own human personality. Let me tell you now...HE DOESN'T...Man cannot and will not thwart the plan of God for ALL humanity.

If God is the creator of an eternal torture chamber of hell fire where billions and billions of His created people, whom He knew would spend an eternity suffering in it forever and forever...I purpose He is the SUPREME SELFISH, EGOISTICAL FEAR-MONGERING, COMPASSION-LESS, MERCY-LESS, LOVELESS and UNFORGIVING terrorizing terrorist that has ever been or ever will be. Such an invention by God characterizes Him as "God is Hate"...not...God is Love."  "God is Bad...not...God is Good! A God that gave humanity the "Bad News Gospel" Of Damnation...not...the "Good News Gospel of Salvation.

Before my understanding the revelation of a totally unselfish God exhibiting a totally unselfish love, I rejoiced in my "salvation" yet was perplexed and bewildered that the epitome of an unconditional  "LOVE BEING" stopped loving when a person passed through death's door. Could a Love Being morph into the epitome of being a "hate monster" that receives pleasure from the fact that the vast majority of His beloved creation is suffering in hell's flames forever, day without end? How could a God who is Love find pleasure from people suffering for eternity, especially since He created them out of love...for, His own pleasure...all the while knowing that a vast majority  of the beings He Himself created were doomed to eternal misery, surely this would be the act of a selfish sadistic God?

But, once I accepted the fact that the love of God is greater far then pen or tongue could ever tell and reaches from the highest star to the lowest hell I truly understood the, length, breath, height and depth of God’s love. God's love is far beyond any measure that I could even even imagine; and that if I took all the unselfish love of every father and mother’s heart the whole world over, and multiplied it by billions, It still would be only a fraction of the unselfishness of of our loving God.

Every doubting question was answered, and I was filled with an illimitable delight in the thought of having been created by such an unselfish loving God. God is TRULY GOOD, and His goodness will make everything right between Him and His loved people He created.    

My own love as a father and a grandfather, which had heretofore been at war with what I had believed about God, is now in perfect harmony. I could not conceive that God would create me with a greater capacity to love unselfishly and give self- sacrificially, beyond what He possessed Himself.

Since I believed this revelation of the father-heart of God, I do not feel the slightest anxiety for any of the crowing glory of ALL His creation being sent to hell and forsaken by God. God's love compels me to disbelieve, anything which demeans, discredits or libels the character of God. Our salvation depends wholly and solely upon Who God is; and if He is not absolutely good, absolutely unselfish, and absolutely just, absolutely merciless, absolutely loving...man's salvation is absolutely hopeless.

God is our salvation, and, if His love fails, we have no one else to turn to...not even religion!

I have concluded that the man-made doctrine that regards the hell-factor as is preached today as a reality...by interpreting the Bible literally, set me up without my realizing it to believe and to spread the fear-mongering terrorizing message of eternal suffering in it's torture chambers...rendering the Bible as a terrorist manual and playing God to be the big terrorist boss in the sky, who sets off the hell-bomb to explode in the "sinner's" face at death because the poor "sinner" did not repeat the "sinner's prayer" before dying to escape the big terrorist boss's hell-hole He knowingly created...yet...knowing they would spend eternity there.

Of course, people will not agree with my assessment because of being Bible Literalists, but the doctrine of eternal suffering in the torture chamber of hell fire...I believe...substantiates my conclusion.

My insisting the Bible proves that hell is “literally true” aided the very Bible I wanted everyone to take seriously, dishonors God whom the Bible says is LOVE and shows Him to be a sadistic-egoistic-elitists-terrorist who sentences billions and billions and billions of people, that He created because of His love and for His glory, to suffer untold agony in an everlasting hell fire while consciously suffering FOREVER! While He, and I and a few unsuspectingly terrorist messengers who repeated the "sinner's prayer" enjoy eternal bliss and take some sort of sadistic pleasure (according to some terrorizing messengers) in the suffering of the sufferers!

In the name of all that is holy and righteous, please hear me...to expect people to believe things are Bible truth that are merely man-invented ideologies...such as an eternal torture chamber of hell fire, and a loving Father God who will sentence the vast majority of His beloved creation to eternal suffering there....is not“defending God or the Bible as I "wrongly" believed it.

Instead...unknowingly...I discredited God and the Bible...rather than preserving that God is LOVE and upholding Bible truth...and seriously undermined God and the Bible.

Thank God that His Love Mercy and Grace persevered and its light broke the hardened religious crust that encapsulated my understanding and gradually broke the crust so that it all fell away and the freedom Christ gave me was finally a reality.
