A Christian...Really?

Given the way bigoted Christians act and react...given their conceited superiority complex...given their self-righteous attitude...given their judgmental and condemning nature...given their elitist bible understanding...given their stand for segregation and division of Christ Body...because of their hatred, bitterness and false accusations...given their view that the bible as inerrant and maintain that their view of theology and God is the correct one, they oppose change to the degree of calling people who present a different theology than their "perfect" theology...given their shameful self-inflicted ignorance of the Jesus of the bible...given their their want for power and control...given they prefer law-keeping over grace-living...given they use fear-mongering instead of love and hope to persuade people to side with Christ...given they use the bible, not as a message of hope, joy and redemption, but a weapon used to strike fear into anyone who doesn't wholeheartedly agree with their theologies and belief systems...given their lack of humility and refusal to admit they may be wrong...given their US vs Them mentality...given that if someone questions their line of reasoning they label them a “heretic,” a word that Bigots love to attach to anyone challenging their thinking...given their reworking and evolving to remain true to their belief of questions that disagree with their belief system, no matter how complicated, confusing or ridiculous the answers are....given they self-righteously believe to be correct in all matters...given they are obnoxiously rude, mean and hurtful when communicating with others...and given their self-perception as being morally superior creates an attitude of disdain for those they view as sinners, challengers and outsiders....

I WONDER...If Jesus came in the flesh to walk our streets again would He call Himself a "Christian"?

BIGOTRY WRAPPED IN CHRISTIANITY IS STILL BIGOTRY!
