Where do our Loyalty Lie?

Loyalty to religious denominational hierarchies is throwing your allegiance with man-made ideologies and structured organizations that have usurped the authority of Christ as Head of His Body, and it hinders the work of God through the Community of the Redeemed, just as loyalty to the traditions of men make the written word of God of no effect in bringing people to the fullness of the Godhead as a witness to the “Living Word” in the Community of Humanity.

It is slanderous to the Gospel of Grace as to how easy believers become loyal to the mixed gospel of law and grace by pledging their allegiance to wolves in sheep’s clothing, rather than pledging their allegiance to the Lamb of God.

Religion is a major force of the world system. By definition, it is a system that is concerned with form, regulations, rituals, ceremony and tradition, rather than life.”Holding a form of godliness but having denied the power thereof” (2 Tim. 3:5). Paul clearly writes about this in Galatians 4:1-3. He referred to the religion of His Fathers as the elements of the world system and to all who ascribe to it as “children”...in bondage, under guardians and stewards”.

The Galatian believers were turning back to the old religious order. Paul asked them, “Now however, that you have come to know God, rather to be known by God, how can you turn your back again to the weak and beggarly elemental spirits? How can you want to be enslaved to them again?” (Gal 4:-9).

Like Paul, our summation should be, “May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the World (system) has be crucified to me, and I to the world (system) (Gal. 6:14).

If you read this verse in context you will find that it is sandwiched between two verses dealing with old religious observances of circumcision and keeping the law. Although Judaism and the Law originated with God, its purpose was fulfilled in Christ, and remaining loyal to it distracted people from God’s eternal purpose. This old religious system was abolished in Christ. Paul warned that returning to its bondage us rejecting the finished world of Jesus on the Cross and embracing the world system.

  1. Our loyalty should be to Christ. We are instructed in Scriptures to obey those who have the rule over us but only if we don`t have to disobey Christ to do it. For instance the law of Daniels`s day said nobody was to be found praying but Daniel could rightly break the law here because he had to disobey God in obeying this law.

Having said that if we can find a good denomination or church organization standing for the essential doctrines of the Christian faith we should stand with it and be loyal to it as long as we don`t have disobey Christ to do it.

We are living in a day of great deception with all different types of churches.
    We have Emergent churches
    We have seeker sensitive churches
We have so called grace churches
We have so called unity churches at expense of truth.

So when I find a church as Christ described in Book of Revelation I thank God for it.(Rev.3:8)
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
